What is the basic speed limit within a built-up area if nothing else is indicated?

Explanation

If no speed signs exist, the basic rule is that a maximum of 50 km/h applies within built-up areas. The municipality can locally lower it to e.g. 40 km/h, but if nothing is indicated, it is 50 km/h.
