What does it mean to engine brake (motorbromsa) when driving a car?
You release the accelerator in good time and let the engine slow down the speed (by downshifting if necessary).
You keep the accelerator to the floor and brake with the clutch.
You accelerate hard in hills to gain speed.
Explanation
Engine braking means reducing the speed by releasing the accelerator and using the engine's braking effect instead of the car's brakes.
