What is the difference between braking distance and stopping distance?
Explanation
Stopping distance is the total distance it takes to stop the car – from the moment you discover the obstacle until the car is at a standstill. It consists of reaction distance + braking distance. Braking distance is only the distance from when you start braking until the vehicle stops.
